AIA/CES & IDCEC Learning Units

Creative Materials Corporation is a registered Learning Unit Provider with the American Institute of Architects  and the IDCEC.

Our one-hour, catered lunch presentation, Porcelain Tile Education: Quality Design Made Easy provides one (1) learning unit to AIA members in the states of NY, NJ, PA, VT, RI, NH, MA, ME, & CT , and is approved for 0.1 CEU by the IDCEC. Learning certificates are given to all attendees.

The presentation is very helpful to anyone involved in the design and/or specification of tile products and contains informative and pertinent sections on porcelain's history; production; 15-year life-cycle costs as compared to all flooring types; sizes, colors, and textures available; specification skills including installation, maintenance, budgeting, and specifying to avoid jobsite problems.

Also included in the presentation are reviews and samples of the latest porcelain stone types that are currently available such as: porcelain slate, bluestone, limestone, marble, granite, terrazzo and wood.  The presentation ends with a section on water jet cutting - a process that allows us to help projects include logos, geometric designs, radical cuts, and borders.
